The way the mass uprising of 24 united the students and the masses gave hope for the construction of Bangladesh. In particular, the way everyone stood under one umbrella across the country from the end of July against Sheikh Hasina's misrule and the murder of students and the masses is unprecedented. The steely stance that the students and the masses showed despite the bloodshot eyes of the then rulers, attacks, and indiscriminate shooting by various forces will forever be an example in any democratic struggle. But after Sheikh Hasina's ouster and exile on August 5, the old trend of politics was seen to return anew. The politics of division and self-interest reared its head again. Arguments and debates about justice, reforms, and elections spread throughout the country. The interim government formed on August 8, 2024, brought a different experience to Bangladesh. This book presents a sobering picture of Bangladesh during the interim period.
